I watched Return last year and thought the same. Some of those zombies were great too. Iβll have to check out the sequel this year if I have the time.

I think I tried showing him Jaws years back and it didn't work out too well due to not being interested. The only live action movies I've ever seen him take to are Home Alone I and II. I just don't get it because my mom showed me things like Jaws and Poltergeist when I was still in elementary school and I loved that shit, even though it messed me up from time to time. I genuinely wonder if the zoomer generation has been mostly conditioned to reject all things that isn't some dumbass on YouTube doing challenges or whatever. Somewhat true unfortunately. My 15 year old stepkid would rather watch some hard-rocker talk over playing Minecraft than most movies so itβs hard to get him to actually watch good shit and I think the movies he actually wants to watch are just Tiktok hyped ones. I also think the dumb YouTube and Tiktok shit thatβs popular now is just actually fucking up the attention spans of the youth but I could be wrong since apparently they are down to watch some idiot play a video game (that they donβt have the attention span to play well) for hours. |

Watched the Saw 1 for the first time the other night and enjoyed it. Danny Glover's character gets constantly pwned in that movie. Reminded me of Willie in that one Treehouse of Horror episode.
Also watched Random Acts of Violence - thought it had some cool shots but overall it kinda stunk.

Just watched they/them this morning, and it was aiiiiight. A bit too soft, not enough kills. Interesting story though.
Currently at a haunted hotel, drinking at the bar and waiting for our ghost hunt tour. There's a bunch of yuppies dressed as flappers, and they're playing the O.G. Wolfman on a big screen lol. Weird vibes.

Movies a mess of tones but I also love it. it's kinda fucked up for real haha. legit made me feel uneasy at times, and the messy tones, which is definitely has, adds to the uneasy feelings it gave me. |

It Follows felt like it was more of a vibe than actual plot. The idea and the imagery are good, but you donβt have to dig too deep. I remember really liking the soundtrack.
