WE’RE THE DREAAAAM WAAAARRIOORRRRSSS Dream warriors is the best one IMO. Dream Warriors is by far the best Nightmare movie, and personally one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Love all the kills, the characters, and I love that this one is the beginning of "MTV Freddy" and the start of a lot of the silliness that he's known for. Oh yeah and Dokken kicks ass too. WELCOME TO PRIME TIME BITCH!!!

I watched 4 last night and even though it was my favorite by far as a kid, seeing them back to back as an adult, for probably the first time in well over a decade I think I have to lean towards 3 now being the 2nd best Nightmare movie. Both still very entertaining though.

I wanted to watch newer films that I’ve missed but then the brackets came out, so decided to rewatch some that I haven’t seen for a while. I normally watch the Witch and Halloween 1+2 on the 31st so hoping to get some newer movies in tomorrow. So far; 1. Last house on the left (1972) 2. Get out 3. The purge 4. Texas chainsaw massacre (2022) 5. Hubie Halloween 6. Hatchet 7. Prom night 8. Muppets haunted mansion 9. Frankenstein (1931) 10. Jennifer’s body 11. Child’s play 12. Smile 13. The Invisible Man (1933) 14. Late night with the devil 15. Scanners 16. Videodrome 17. Sleepaway camp 18. Fright night (1985) 19. An American werewolf in London 20. Possession 21. Terrifier 22. Terrifier 2 23. Friday the 13th part 2 24. Friday the 13th part 3 25. The thing 26. Hatchet 2 27. Freaks (1932) 28. Night of the demons 29. Killer klowns from outer space 30. Frankenhooker 31. All hallows eve 32. Trick r Treat

I see Hubie Halloween on a few lists, that’s a recent fun one that embodies the season’s spirit and could become a staple.
Another Season of the Witch watch last night and have to comment again on Tom Atkins’ wonderful character. It’s all in the little details… like when Ellie and him are at the motel, she asks him if he doesn’t mind spending the night… his reply is masterful… he slightly tugs on his jacket and goes ‘’uh, I think these clothes can hold out for at least one more day’’… real pimp shit lol.
Bonus
Where do you want to sleep Dr. Challis?
That’s a dumb question Mrs. Grimbridge
Also my location is an obvious reference to the movie.

Tom Atkins helps himself to a big old mouthful of nipple in that flick too. Hell yeah, get it King.

paulkersey that's a strong list, did you watch The Final Destination for the We Hate Movies episode? Cos that's what I did. Watched the fourth Wishmaster film for the same reason, just started their ep on it. Indeed I did lol. I got to Wishmaster 4 at the end of September so I didnt include it here. I wouldnt watch it otherwise cause no Andrew Divoff but it had its moments.

Actually watched Season of the Witch for the first time last night. Never been a big Halloween franchise guy so I never bothered to check it out.
Holy fuck. Loved it from start to finish. Great cheesy SFX. The masks were a killer visual and Atkins is note perfect in it. I found myself looking up the Wiki for it and they highlight some of the bad reviews it got in the 80s. My favourite quote was “this movie manages to be anti-capitalist, anti-children, anti-television, and anti-Irish all at the same time”

Tom Atkins is just drunk and hitting on women throughout that whole movie. He's trying to bang literally everybody except his ex wife.

I like to think Tom Atkins in The Fog finished medical school and became Dr. Challis in Halloween III. He gets to bang 20-year-old Jamie Lee Curtis after knowing her probably an hour lol.

The scene where the Kupfer family is killed is genuinely disturbing and has legit good special effects with all the bugs crawling out of the kid's head. Very unsettling.

Love Hubie Halloween. I always watch Season Of The Witch the night before Halloween while I carve a pumpkin. Always watch Trick R Treat on Halloween night too.

I watch Hubie Halloween like five times a year, maybe more even
I love that movie so much, man
It’s an instant mood brightener for me inside and outside of October
“And ya gotta love the old school ghost you got working over there…”

Honestly one of the best scenes in the movie. The snakes seemed a little over the top but that’s also what makes it so awesome. Also loved the scene where the woman in the motel room is fucking around with the microchip and half her face just rips apart. Was not prepared for how gnarly that was.

Just watched Sinister -- pretty good with some legitimately chilling super 8 footage. Seriously, some of those are going to stick with me. That said, I don't think we got a decent payoff with the actual ghost/spirit/haunting at the end.
I had set a goal of watching all the Universal monster movies, but ended up watching none of them. There's about enough time to get through 2 movies before Halloween and I'm thinking the OG Dracula, followed by Bram Stoker's. OR finish with something fun on the 31st with Hubie Halloween, Scary Stories Stories to Tell in the Dark, or Trick'R'Treat.
As of now, I think I've done pretty well in terms of genre -- slasher, sci fi, international, 20's/10's/00's/90's/80's, haunting, posession, monster, witches, zombies, comedy, demons, art, etc. Hence the potential a Dracula finish.
