I like 2019 Child’s Play more than original three. Wild take, but hell yeah I'm into wild ass takes! I think first one is decent, second is a step below that, third one sucks. 2019 is just the slightest cut above the first for me. |

I haven’t read a crazy amount of king books but there are definitely far more misses than hits with the adaptations of his stuff. I tend to like his short stories and novels that veer more off the direct horror tip. ‘The long walk’ and ‘eyes of the dragon’ are my favorite things I’ve read of his. read The Mangler and The Jaunt, also N. I'm sure there's pdfs online you could find without much trouble. great short stories, the mangler seriously rocks (which was also adapted into a movie that i havent seen)
salems lot was meh, tonally it felt all over, and suddenly it was just "oh, well guess its a Dracula killing time". also, father callahan's faith being broken should've had a much bigger impact especially because of what becomes of him in SK Lore The movie or the book? |

Didnt like it. The factory sequence in part 2 is probably the best part in the entire series. I enjoy the first three for what they are still and loved em as a kid. Bride is fun too. Stuff is up and down after that for me. Didn’t like 2019. Didn’t keep up with the tv series but thought that was decent what I saw in the first season. But- Genuinely just curious what you would have liked to see happen at the military academy in 3 though. |

More military-themed kills aside from ol boy jumping on that grenade. That creepy barber was pretty goofy, that was a weak kill. One dude just had a heart attack at the sight of Chucky. The garbage compactor. I found it all pretty unremarkable outside of Chucky's usual being pissed as fuck. |

Thing about the original Child’s Play trilogy is no characters to care about. The hook is Chucky being Chucky, but absent good characters, I wouldn’t have minded for things to go off the rails more.

When redlettermedia talked about the Psycho franchise, I think they noted Meg Tilly doing a great job. I thought she was pretty bad in that movie and everyone else was great. Psycho II rocks pretty hard though.

Child’s Play is the best and most consistent franchise. There hasn’t been a single miss. Even the series is excellent. It really benefits from having Mancini involved in every single release. The third is definitely the weakest, but I still love it
