What is Black Tie Dye? Tried looking it up and couldn’t find anything other than t-shirts. Beyond the Black Rain.bow. Tie dye is a sentence spice. I think it's on HBOMax right now. Oh, I got it. I love Beyond the Black tie dye!!! Also, The Autopsy might be my new all time favorite piece of scary alien cinema. The animated rotting body gave off the best possible early 90’s horror vibes and the coroner was such a badass!

The bedroom scene was one of the most brutal kills I’ve ever seen… Salt and Bleach. “Mama” Yeah that was absolutely insane. Everyone in the theater was just yelling and laughing. I had to turn away for a few seconds. Super fucking rough.

Making my way through Cabinet of Curiosities now. The Autopsy and The Outside are great so far, Lot 36 was awesome as well. Super excited for The Viewing episode. Reminds me of Tales From The Crypt with a much bigger budget.

Yeah I actually liked that new TCM. Bus scene ruled.

Yeah! The bus scene was fucking awesome, I really dug that movie. It was fun watching it half hungover eating wings from B Dubs with my neck hurting from an Incantation bangover.

That new TCM was awful. Relied on a little gore porn to cover up the fact it had nothing going for it

yeah, BTBR is druggy and visually intense for it's own sake. kind of like the DMT scene in Enter the Void. love that shit. Mandy takes the same vibe and adds a simple story that is bad ass at every turn.

TCM bus scene sucked.
The producer: why are we shooting the scene where he kills them on the bus from shoulder height and just smearing blood every where?
The director: Because that's how its done in a horror movie Mr. Hollywood producer man and if you got a problem with that there's the big fucking door.

That new TCM was awful. Relied on a little gore porn to cover up the fact it had nothing going for it I thought the implication of the crypto bros buying a whole small town in a shithole part of Texas was pretty relevant to the times we live in.

Yeah, but the movie itself was pretty fucking wack. Of course it was like “I can’t wait to see how all of these people die”. But it wasn’t even fun. The last act was pretty laughable, because I was high as shit.

Saw the 3D Dawn of the Dead thing tonight. Spent the whole entire movie thinking "I wish this wasn't in 3D and just the nice 4K print in IMAX or RPX or something" but then one scene happened and it made the whole thing worth it. Also, and this is a first and something I never thought would happen but, I think I prefer DAY of the Dead now to Dawn. Through no faults of DAWN - its great, perfect, an all-timer - I think I just like the chaos and minute to minute story/character progressions in DAY better now. Watched it back at the beginning of October and liked it more than I ever have. I'm not a gorehound, but the neck-rip where the dude screams and his pitch gets higher and higher as his vocal cords get a heave ho is probably the greatest practical gore moment ever. I’m really excited for Dawn, and I already wish it wasn’t 3D. I used to think Day wasn’t great at all, but I rewatched it a couple months ago and loved it. I don’t think it’ll ever surpass Dawn for me though, just because of how much time I’ve spent watching it since I was like 14 haha. It’s easily one of my favorite movies of all time

The Viewing is definitely the standout and reminds me of how annoyed I am that Mandy STILL isn’t available in 4k.

The Viewing is definitely the standout and reminds me of how annoyed I am that Mandy STILL isn’t available in 4k. Like 30 seconds into The Viewing I thought to myself "Yeah, this is the vibe I'm looking for." Confirmed the fact that I'm just about always down to watch anything from Cosmatos.

I thought about putting on Hellraiser or HIII but decided to put on Deadstream instead. I might watch HIII afterwards before I go to work

I know it hasn’t gotten the best reviews but I’m enjoying this different take on the Let The Right One In tv series.

OG halloween is literally perfect no matter how many times I've seen it. It's the satisfaction is the death of desire of horror films.

We started in September and watched a fuck ton of shit, like multiple movies most days. But off the top of my head, my favorite movies of this year's "octoberfest" are:
Damien: omen II Village of the damned '95 Valentine Halloween kills Halloween ends Hellraiser 2022 Texas chainsaw massacre 2 Barbarian The sadness The dead zone Tourist trap Coherence Aliens Wishmaster Queen of black magic remake Psycho II Psycho III Malevolence Sorority house massacre Summer of '84 Rosemary's baby (watched it before and didn't like it, but this year it clicked. Such a well made film)
We forgot to watch The Old Dark House, which was last year's discovery, and we are bummed about it. Fantastic movie.
Oh, and Cabinet Of Curiosities
