Trump didn't govern anything. He appealed to the lowest common denominator using name/brand recognition, fear and veiled racism to reach the highest office. And when he got there he bobbled a health crisis, failed to build a Mexico financed wall and didn't deliver so much as a rough draft to replace Obamacare. He failed as a leader in every conceivable metric he uses to tear down both Obama and Biden. He inherited a steady economy from Obama. He didn't withdraw troops from Afghanistan. He stoked culture wars and emboldened dumb angry people in flyover country who traditionally had no voice (for a reason, btw).

politics these days has very little to do with putting ink to paper, in fact it rarely ever did when the veil is lifted. politics is a center for ideological tools to be used to weaponize future generations to do the bidding of a sheltered elite.

That actually rings true for harm reduction reasons. A lot of well meaning people do the right thing for the right reason. Until they don't. Someone much smarter than me would have to explain how having a super majority always resulting in an "Aww shucks, maybe next time!" watered down policy positions? We must constantly pass weak policy to appease a handful of votes because something is better than nothing? A few districts that legacy vote end up hamstringing Federal policies that would benefit their own constituents. Why does that keep happening? It's almost like when the public option debate was DOA when they found out we'd shitcan bloated bullshit admin jobs. Stay winning though. Yeah our constitution sucks asshole. |
