I wouldn’t say pro-death penalty. What bums me out is how anti-immigration pilled the party has to turn to appeal to a broad enough base. But if dems fully embrace YIMBY agenda long term and break away from idiotic tariffs, I may switch my voter registration to dem. its like every election they use lesser of two evils to go further right. No real mentions of gaza, talk of terror around world and enemies, cops on panel, and no real policies or interviews. Trump kamala are both parties perfect Manchurian candidates Horrerrseshiiiiiit. |

For me, that’s mostly a good thing, cuz the far left mostly proposes things that would make the world worse. The world sucks, it’s always sucked. But with each generation, it’s gotten a little better. I’d argue that’s the result of capitalism and the abundance it provides for not only our country and others. People hate metrics and charts and graphs for how much better the world has gotten, I think mostly because it calls their presuppositions or political apinions into question, while disputing the notion that the world is worse or at a general low point due to x or y. As the world improves, public sentiment often shows they think things are worse than ever. I also think the United States has done fucking awful things domestically and abroad but in the aggregate it’s made the world a better place.

But that really runs the gamut among demographics, whether it’s social security, policing, schooling, conservation, vets, etc. A majority aren’t trumpeting progressive causes, and those that are usually aren’t down with the trade offs when presented them. |

Or like the labor movement writ large being undercut by globalism? I guess I can sympathize with that sentiment a bit more but still think it’s wrong. Or human rights?
