Join a political organization involved with your local community. Learn about the issues, organize around them. It could be homelessness, police violence, whatever. I've talked about the need for things to go further in my area, but for now there are some things happening with BLM near me. The solutions aren't the same every where. I didn't think that'd need to be said all the time on a messageboard but since you asked...

I guess you just gloss over whenever I talk about DSA, PSL and all that.

But for people already within the left’s social spaces, arguing for political violence is associated with a kind of cool or cachet. This condition can be found in real-world spaces, but it particularly flourishes on social media. Left Facebook and Twitter spaces are almost entirely absent of strategic thinking about how to actually build the kind of mass movement necessary to take real power. Instead, they often function as sites of competition to be as insular as possible. Again: it is more to your social advantage to be the Ultimate Lefty than it is to set your statements up in such a way that they advance left-wing causes, which will often entail,whether we like it or not, playing to people who do not already believe what we believe. It will often entail, whether we like it or not, letting go of the in-jokes, memes, and in-group lingo that are so much a part of left discursive spaces.

It needs to be asked and said because you constantly hide behind jokes and condescending others and then wonder why people want to debate you or question what your play in all this is.

Pretty sure its ironic to say "it's a messageboard, who cares?" on the second iteration of a board that gained whatever fame it had from people driving across states to fight and threaten other posters. I mean, yeah, it's a messageboard but with a pretty long history of people taking it seriously...

I wasn't be defensive, simply addressing you. Do you honestly think most posters that come after you because of your political beliefs and not the way you interact with them? Like, it's all on them?
