I'm a parent to perhaps the largest 14 month old in the US right now. 99 percentile in height and weight. Future Left Tackle.

For the PIL’ers with little ones, here is a good option for non traditional lullabies

My daughter turned 8 last week.
Seems cliché to say, but it really does fly by.
I loved her every step of the way, but I don't miss having a baby/toddler. It's really cool seeing them develop, but having her become more self-sufficient, and her own person, by the day is totally rewarding.

My daughter turned 13 on Saturday. On Monday she had her final therapy session and received a triple diagnosis (none I will share). Tomorrow I'm taking her to see a cardiologist. An unfortunate combination of her friends moving away, remote schooling and Corona have had a negative effect on her mental well-being. I've blown through my work health plan for the year so I guess it's time to tighten the belt once again if she is to keep seeing someone. The success story is that she's resilient and these disorders aren't necessarily permanent and are manageable with therapy. Or as she calls it, training her brain. Man, that’s tough. It sounds like you’re doing all the right things, and it’s good that she’s aware of things in a clinical way.

Still need to read this whole thread and give everyone a like. Parenting isn't always easy but being a parent fucking rocks.

Excited to join the rest of you! The lady and I are expecting our first this late summer and can’t wait, we’re on the older side for pregnancies so we gotta do all the extra shit but it’s been going well.

I wish all the best for the little ones with health issues, it really is heartbreaking. Hang tight.
My daughter turns 3 next week. She is starting to show her twisted side, always a fight to do anything she doesn't want too, I hope it's just a phase. But she is also super sweet and caring with us. Last month I was very tired, so I fell asleep on the couch, she was painting. She woke me up after awhile, her face was all painted, she said she was doing make up.
She is completely hooked on Frozen, we have seen the movies nearly 10 times each, she is always singing, so much that for the last couple of days her voice has become hoarse.
She likes when I am doing manual work throughout the house, fixing stuff or assembling furniture, always wants to help and play with the tools, I have am extremely care that she doesn't hurt herself with the tools. I really hope that when she is older we can do some mechanical/electrical projects together.

My girlfriend’s kid is 12 now, I’ve been in her life for almost two years now. She’s having a hard time with adjusting to Oregon and having moved a lot when she was younger, but she’s a good kid. She loves Mayhem, she actually asked for my old shirt I got too fat for, but now we’re watching My Little Pony after she cried about maybe having to change schools.

Who else loves doing the goofy parenting stuff? I was so worried about being "corny" but it's actually my favorite.
Example: I'm dressing up as Elmo for her 1st birthday party and cannot wait.

I do accents, they are terrible but the girls love it. Also we have had many a disco ball dance parties to the worst pop songs in circulation.

My son is 1.5 years old, he's been perfect. No complaints, just wish there was more time in the day.

He’s still a chubby baby with wrist and thigh rolls. Doesn’t look like a Dum Dum

My oldest discovered that skateboarding is awesome and we've been bonding over old skate videos and bails on YT. Somehow that segued into stories about punk and she's all interested in hearing my old bands now. Were going to get her a board and we have a skatepark across the street. Definitely gonna be a white dad summer.

I have a 4yo. When he was a newborn we stayed home, he was born in January and... idk. Looking back we should have gone out all the time. Newborns sleep 80% of the day so... go live while you still can!! Jk. But really, any question you have I can probably offer insight?

We’ve got a huge one too. He has consistently been in the 98th percentile since 3 months. He’s 3’9” and I’m 4’10. I will be surpassed by age 5 maybe?
