Snuff and Guns and Wankers deserve so much more attention. Truly original. Great songwriting.
I actually listened to Hoss while I was painting my bathroom today. I've never given Blaze a fair chance. Also loved and continue to love Propagandhi and Bad Religion. I was big on Strung Out during Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues. Punk in Drublic will always be a classic to me.

I have an old boombox kicking around here with a gocart sticker on it. Can’t even remember who was on the label. Def some mid to late 90’s warped bands already mentioned here. Good memories! Edit: wen't back through thread, most of these bands ripped live!

At 14-15 years old, Propagandhi/Good Riddance/Bad Religion were punk rock for me. I didn't really bother listening to any other bands extensively. I collected compilations like a lunatic. I was really into that Useless ID/Ataris split when it came out.
I saw Frenzal Rhomb in Tokyo last fall and they were seriously fucking AWESOME.

Swingin’ Utters should have been as big as Rancid. A Juvenile Product of The Working Class is not only as good as the best Rancid albums, it’s also probably the only Fat Wreck album of that era that doesn’t sound like it was recorded in a can of beans.

Every 5 years or so I will jam the fuck out of Short Music...That thing got me into so many punk bands, and still holds up reasonably well I think.

Slapstick The Broadways The Falcon The Lawrence Arms Bad Religion
Got me through prepatory academy with my Sony Sports Walkman that was stolen from my locker with The MDs tape in it. Haha! Thief, you fucked up. (The MDs were a sarcastic geeky rap group hailing from Sudbury MA. The dude worked at my fathers business. He also helped be run away when shit got real bad. Never put his hands on me. Points for that and only that!
Suburban Voice and the vinyl that came with.
Also, spending hours making a mixtape to mail to a stranger because no one in my prepatory academy was down with anything.
Ordering vinyl from distros and getting a phone call to ask why my taste was all over the place. Oh just cuz I have no idea what I’m ordering I just want to hear things? Ps how the eff did you get my phone #?
I graduated in 2000. Age me, my (not) friends.

Also, I never really listen to any SOIA records beyond the first two, but I will jam the fuck out of their Live in a Dive album.
First time I heard Madball was "Hold it Down" on one of the punk o rama comps.

Yeah epitaph and fat introduced me to AF and SOIA respectively. The AF song about hating Rudy still rules.

I still love Strung Out, Larry Arms, Descendents, and a few others. The drummer from Satanic Surfers runs Blood Harvest Records, which is very cool. Are you talking about Rodrigo? He was also in Intensity. A friend was penpals with him, dude's a legit coreman.

I worked in record stores through the heyday of this stuff, paid a lot of bills off it but could never get on board with like 99.9% of it. That being said, I would fight a medium-sized bear if Dillinger Four asked me to and the first couple Snuff records (especially the one on K) are ace.

Swingin Utters is one of those bands I need to revisit, many years ago I had a ... 10" record I think? And it was pretty good. My current band has been called out for ganking one of their songs so I imagine I'd like it pretty well.
Does anyone have any good Paddy / D4 stories? I live in Gainesville so there are shitloads of ties between the band and locals, Paddy has been known to chill here for a few weeks here and there in the past and I feel like I have about a 1000 mutual friends with those guys but never hung out with 'em or got to know them myself. Couple years ago after making a rare venture out to Fest to catch Negative Approach I was standing there a little dazed and happy after NA's set when a friend walked up to me with a somewhat ... unbalanced Paddy in tow. Friend says to Paddy, "Hey look it's Pat, you wanna say hi to Pat don't you?" Paddy is swaying back and forth and trying hard to focus his eyes on me and I go, "Uh we've never actually met. What's up man, I'm Patrick," and stick my hand out for a shake. Paddy continues swaying and staring at me for a while then comes in for a very close and intimate hug. He's just holding it and holding it and I'm hugging him back and after a minute he leans up and whispers in my ear, "Hello, daddy."
I have a friend who was partying with them and Paddy busted out some party favors out and said, "Listen, I can't share with you ... Because the amount I have left ... Is less than the amount it would take ... that should you die ... would get me over your death."
Another friend actually woke up in the hospital just from trying to keep up drinking with those guys.

Face to Face - Disconnected -> I’m cry moshing I had a phase when I listened to some of this stuff. Mostly Bad Religion, NOFX, Face to Face and a few others. Disconnected was my jam though and probably hits me with the most nostalgia. Kind of forgot about it until a couple years ago and wen't through a nostalgia love affair again.

Face to Face "Ignorance is Bliss" will forever be an underrated record. Like, a great all-around rock record.
