This new NOFX record is pretty good. I know people didn't seen to really like the last two but I love Self Entitled

I don't know if this has already been posted, but this record is phenomenal. Glad it got the vinyl reissue a couple years ago.

The Propagandhi - Today's Empires Tomorrow's Ashes remaster sounds really good. There's definitely some different vocal takes and pretty significant changes. Love it.
For some reason I've never paid much attention to Down By Law but their first album came up on shuffle and I really like it. Didn't even know it existed before.

Anyone else into Satanic Surfers? Such an incredible band. Saw them around 1998 and they blew me away. Hero Of Our Time and 666 Motor Inn are mandatory if you're into this style.

Speaking of comps, the label ones from punkcore, byo, and A-F records ones stayed in heavy rotation during that time and are what I remember the most of that era since my resources were dire. Also the official Vans warped tour 2001 comp changed the game for us.
Haven’t thought of a lot of these bands since then. Doing a proper dive seems like a great idea.

Comps from these punk labels definitely got me more into hardcore when I was younger. SideOneDummy with 7 Seconds and Kill Your Idols was another one.

I have a Pipedown tattoo. I mean it's just a bacteriophage virus and I usually just tell people that and leave it at that. But I was real into that band for a moment.

I definitely loved Pipedown and Thought Riot back in the day. I don’t think I’ve heard or thought of them in 15+ years though. I wonder how well their music has held up?

DFL was great. When I was in high school I emailed them and told them I wanted to book them if they came to the east coast. They wrote back and told me that they had broken up but to send my address and they would send me some stuff. They sent me a shirt and like 50 stickers which were posted all over my high school. It became a bit of a thing for people to say they were "going for dfl". I am 100 percent sure I was the only person who had any clue they were a band.

I grew up on this kind of punk. Skate punk/fat wreck shit. Loved it, can't really enjoy it as much now, but it definitely has a place in my heart. 88 Fingers Louie were the sickest. Belvedere, Strung Out, 88FL, Twen'ty2, 7-10 Split, etc. Any of that skate punk with Maiden-esque leads and stuff.

This song and whole album sounded so good and so different from all the other bands on Fat Wreck Chords. This mix sounds absolutely perfect to me. One of the albums I think of when someone posts about perfect sounding recordings. Wish Fat would repress it.
