How many people do I know in real life who actually care about movies, let alone horror? Not that I try to proselytize out in the wild, but they don’t really get how someone is actually invested in this sort of thing, emotionally. But this shit matters to me, like few things do, and I think it’s beautiful. Do you often feel like... I've been there and with these three tips...

Not really horror per se, but watched The Vanishing last night. Fuck, what a film.
Feeling something classic tonight for the big 31, maybe OG Elm Street or The Fly?

But this shit matters to me, like few things do, and I think it’s beautiful. Hell yeah!! Re: Return of the Living Dead... if someone doesn't like that movie, they probably have something seriously wrong with them lol. Re: Happy Birthday to Me... I love it, no surprise here. Sure, it's ridiculous, but that's half the charm. I remember not liking it on my first watch, it worked much better for me the second round when I was expecting the zaniness. Re: Cutting Class... not a great slasher, but I would say it's absolutely worth seeing if you like the genre, even if it's just for Jill Schoelen. Think this might be Brad Pitt's first movie.... anyways, I had fun with it. Re: Old Dark House... wish I could stay home and watch movies all day, I would start with this one (:

Horror movies aren’t in the cards this Halloween with kids and a school night. My daughter isn’t quite old enough for Monster House and Gremlins is at least four years away.

I'm not going to watch anymore Michael Kennedy written movies. I keep thinking they'll be okay, but they all suck. Freaky, It's a Wonderful Knife, and now Time Cut. They all suck serious shit. I keep wanting to like them because they're slashers but my godddddd they're just complete dogshit.

Think I might switch it up tonight and watch Trick or Treat (1982), still undecided. Maybe the og Night of the Living Dead... On a kind of related note, I just paid way too much for this: www.synapsefilms.com/product/trickortreat-le-1986-style-a/Have never seen it, but been wanting to for years. Hoping it's a fun time. Either way, glad to add it to the collection.

I'm embarrassed to say how much it cost me with shipping to Canada + money exchange. $134.00 canadian coins A standard edition will eventually come out for at least half the price.

Watched the Witch and the Fog earlier today. Finish up tonight with Halloween 1 and 2. Managed to hit 40 in 15 days, being on the sick has ruled.

I keep wanting to like them because they're slashers but my godddddd they're just complete dogshit. I couldn't finish It's a Wonderful Knife. The problem I have with these types of movies is that they're formulaic, glossy, pop horror that overuse trite jump scares, Scooby Doo reveals and are ultimately banal. They feel like lowest common denominator dreck targeted toward tweens, but I don't even know if they like this stuff. If you haven't seen Timeframes, that's the way to go with horror time travel/time loop thing. More thriller and sci-fi overall, but will certainly appeal to horror fans. Triangle, as well.

Zombie Nightmare sucks but it was on MST3K and the head bad guy in it just directed Deadpool and Wolverine which is fucking wild. With Tia Carrere, Adam West being a trooper and Jon Mikl Thor. With Motorhead on the sound track.
