Well, Bolsonaro and the PT were the only two options. That's a big part of what I'm saying. Neither option was good and you have to be particularly blinkered to pass judgment on the vote.

I talk to people in Brazil almost every day and I haven't heard it's becoming appreciably worse. The country has been dysfunctional for years and people have been scared and apprehensive for a long time. Maybe different people are scared now. They can give half their gratitude to the PT for bringing things to this point.

And do you have anything that actually correlates the rise of violent to PT and their policies? Because places that are most affected by crime like Salvador still heavily voted for PT. Oh fuck off dude. I said if I had to choose between the two I'd have to go with the former.. Quit trying to turn this into a black and white when it's really not. Students in Brazil have only started to become properly educated on what actually happened during the dictatorship, so we're talking about generations that have this idealistic look on what a military dictatorship means because there was no objective media available during that period, and the government failed to educate them after when compared to Argentina and Chile. And a lot of these same people would have voted for Lula, so are you sure you really know who you're talking about? 


And like I've said before, I know multiple people who have received death threats from Bolsonaro supporters, so when I see some snobby fucking wanker from New York trying to stir the pot on something he doesn't actually grasp, then yeah I'll call them out on it.

yeah and lets also talked about how the state of PA completely fucked the school district here raw, took all the money and ran and manufactured a budget crisis literally based on philly being a blue city. Schools with no fucking heat or running water with collapsing ceilings and floors so unsafe there's schools with classrooms off limits.

Like, defunding the school district and having the state of PA take over ruined after school programs in schools and by proxy ruined programs in community centers that were staffed or funded by the school district. It's like he can't fucking google shit.

Pretty much some officers get in a room and just name the operation. They are usually named to reflect the intent of the overall commander. In this case it seems its name to reflect the intent of the president.

Whats ironic is the national guard has had the most issues with domestic militias stealing their gear down there, and protests from U.S. citizens.

Remember, we've had the military along the boarder for a while now. troops aren't mowing down migrants. The caravan thing is all hype from all sides. They aren't gonna bum wish the boarder, and troops aren't gonna line them up and execute them.

It’s not that I think either of those things will happen...but just timing and everything, seems like it’s all building to something bigger than just processing migrants. Not pointing blame at either side, just seems something is going to happen that we’re not expecting.
